Vice President

The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President and shall assist that office in the discharge of its leadership duties.

Secretary

The Secretary shall give notice of all meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and shall have the authority to certify any records, or copies of records, as the official records of the organization.

Paul Johnson '83

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for conducting the financial affairs of the organization and shall make reports of corporate finances as required, but no less often than at each meeting of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Calabar High School Alumni Association Florida Chapter Inc. (Calabar Alumni Florida)  Board of Directors, under the leadership of the Executive Committee, empowers past students and friends to strengthen the Calabar Alumni community in the State of Florida. 

 

Mission

We are an all-volunteer body that guides the fostering of alumni community building, creating Calabar citizens of alumni and alumni volunteers. The mission of Calabar Alumni Florida is to promote the welfare of Calabar High School, Kingston, Jamaica, by establishing a mutually beneficial relationship between Calabar and its Alumni in Florida.

Our work focuses on developing volunteer leadership and increasing and deepening alumni engagement through camaraderie, fellowship, and participation in cultural, civic, social & sporting activities that support the alumni community in Florida.  We want to provide a platform to assist, inform, and engage alumni, fostering opportunities for alumni to serve each other, students, and Calabar.

The Board of Directors wants to engage the Rabalac Lions in organized alumni activities, both in-person and online and invite you to volunteer and network.

​

Our wish is that you get involved and stay in touch with that place ... at 61 Red Hills Road that transforms boys into men.

It's Make-Up

The organization's officers shall have up to 11 members but no less than seven members. The Executive shall consist of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The other members of the Board of Directors are elected or appointed per the Bylaws.  The Immediate Past President is also on the Board. One person may not hold two or more offices.

Elections for all board members are held every two years. Upon being elected or appointed, members must take the Oath of Office.
